My Doggy Daycare Grooming Service – Terms and Conditions
Cancellation
Please provide 24hrs notice if you are unable to keep or need to reschedule your appointment. Cancellation of an appointment without providing 24hrs notice and no shows will incur a $30 cancellation fee.
Late drop off and pick up
To help keep the day running smoothly, we kindly ask that you please keep to your appointment time. Please let us know if you will be running more than 15 minutes late for your appointment. Customers who are more than 15 minutes late will incur a $15 late fee. If you are more than 30 minutes late, we have the right to cancel your appointment and a last-minute cancellation fee will apply. Unless otherwise arranged, we ask that dogs be picked up within 30 minutes of being notified or additional charges may apply.
Arrival
When arriving at the My Doggy Daycare Centre, please have your dog on a lead and please make sure that your dog’s collar or harness is properly secured onto your dog when coming into our centre. Please ensure that your dog has gone to the toilet before arriving for their appointment. We provide a pre-grooming consultation with you upon arrival and assess your dog upon admission to achieve the desired grooming result for your pet.
Refusal of Service
My Doggy Daycare reserves the right to refuse service or to stop the service in progress, at any point if your dog poses a threat to themselves, other dogs or staff, either by aggressive or other behaviour issues or any health problem. We will charge a grooming fee, for services carried out up until that point. My Doggy Daycare has the right to refuse service and recommend referral to a Vet for performance of the service if your dog is presented in a ‘matted’, ‘oily’, ‘contaminated’ or otherwise unacceptable condition.
Abuse to staff or management will not be tolerated and will result in the refusal of service.
Pricing
All prices that are given without our groomer having personally assessed your dog first, are an estimate only and are subject to change at our discretion. Pricing is generally based upon the condition of the dog’s coat, and matting or knots that require removing, your dog’s temperament, the dog’s weight and height. My Doggy Daycare reserves the right to charge additional fees for services we consider over and above the normal covered by our standard rates. This could be difficultly in grooming due to behaviour, skin condition, coat condition, or matting.
Matted policy
We are mindful that the process of de-matting can be painful for dogs and we will ensure our best efforts brush out any matts without creating any discomfort. If the matts cannot be removed by brushing them out, we will need to remove them by shaving or doing a full clip to remove the matting. You agree that your consent is given for our groomers and My Doggy Daycare to remove/shave out necessary matts through the grooming service if unable to be brushed out. Please note that the presence of a matted coat greatly increases the risk of cuts, abrasions, skin damage or rash amongst other conditions during the grooming process.
Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is important to us. Whilst every effort is made to procure your desired visual effect, the final outcome may not be as you had visualised.
If you are unhappy/would like something adjusted, please let us know when you pick up your pet. Once a pet leaves our premises any return visits are treated as a new appointment and charged accordingly.
Photography
Photos of your dog may be taken, before and after their groom, for advertising, promotional and educational purposes. You agreed that My Doggy Daycare has the right and permission to use photos of your dog, taken before and after grooming, for advertising, promotional and educational purposes.
Ageing and Special Needs Dogs
As a dog ages or if the dog has special medical conditions, the process of grooming may become stressful, both physically and mentally for a dog. Although we take care in the grooming of your dog, the stress of grooming may cause latent, unknown, active or inactive conditions in your dog. You agree not to hold My Doggy Daycare or any individual performing services responsible for reactions to grooming and/or subsequent loss regardless of cause.
Medical Emergency & Accidents
There is always a risk when dealing with animals, and although rare, should an accident occur, you will be notified. In the event of a medical emergency, you agree and authorise My Doggy Daycare to seek veterinary services at the Veterinary practice of our choice should it become necessary for any reason. All expenses incurred are the responsibility of the dog’s owner.
My Doggy Daycare or any individual providing services are not responsible or liable for any resulting expense or loss. Should the need for Veterinary intervention arises, the owner of the dog gives authorisation and agrees for My Doggy Daycare to be recorded as the ‘Client’ of the Vet, alongside the owner of the dog. This is so that My Doggy Daycare can access all relevant information about the incident and subsequent treatments. This does not expose My Doggy Daycare to any liability for Veterinary expenses.
Release of Liability: Dog Grooming can be physically and/or mentally stressful for some dogs, My Doggy Daycare will not be held responsible for stressful, mental, or physical effects such grooming may have upon a dog or any loss arising therefrom.
My Doggy Daycare groomers exercise reasonable caution and an appropriate duty of care. This, however, does not preclude the possibility of accidents or injuries during the grooming process.
You agree and understand and hereby release My Doggy Daycare, owners, partners, contractors, volunteers, financially or otherwise, for injuries, loss or damage to your dog, yourself, or any of your property and /or any consequential loss while your dog is participating in services, or on site at My Doggy Daycare regardless of the cause. By attending your grooming appointment at My Doggy Daycare you indicate that you understand and agree to our terms and conditions of service. You also agree that you release My Doggy Daycare, its owners, employees and affiliates from the liabilities, expenses, damages and costs resulting from any service provided or injury (including death) to your pet while in our care or afterward.
